The IAME Secretariat regrets to inform you that Richard Goss, the first President of IAME and one of the best maritime economists of all is not anymore with us.
Richard Goss died peacefully this afternoon in Bricklehampton Hall, after a long period of declining health. He had asked for a simple funeral, to be followed at a later date by “a cheerful party”.
The International Association of Maritime Economists will honor his work and memory. More information in due course.
In memoria, you might follow the link to reach his last message to the IAME members – as recorded in summer 2015, in Maritime Economist.
On behalf of the IAME family, we express our deepest condolences to his wife Gilian and his relatives.
