Description
The Department of Maritime Business Administration at Texas A&M University at Galveston (TAMUG) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track position with a 9-month academic appointment anticipated to begin January 16th, 2023. Applicants will be considered for the faculty title of Instructional Assistant Professor. This position will be located at The Higher Education Center in McAllen, Texas.
The successful candidate will primarily teach courses at the undergraduate level in accounting and finance to students enrolled in maritime business administration and possibly other business-related majors at the McAllen campus; support the undergraduate program(s); advise and mentor undergraduate students; participate in all aspects of student life on the McAllen campus; and serve the profession. This position is unique – while the faculty member is employed by Texas A&M University at Galveston, the teaching faculty is located at The Higher Education Center on the McAllen campus. Therefore, the successful candidate will also support and participate in departmental activities and self-governance remotely.

Qualifications
Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required. Those with university teaching experience and a background in the business administration, finance, accounting and management are encouraged to apply.
